Meet Patrick K. Lynch

Patrick K. Lynch resides in Sioux Falls and suffers from Multiple Scleroses. Lynch formerly served as the chairman for the North-Central States chapter of the Multiple Scleroses Society.

Meet Matthew Duchenaux

"It feels like somebody's hitting me in the back with an ax, and the spasms keep me from breathing, like being squeezed by an anaconda. If I smoke a little marijuana, the spasms stop immediately"

Having broken his neck in a 1985 car wreck, Matthew Ducheneaux was afflicted with severe spastic paralysis, which caused frequent tremors and spasms in his legs and thorax. Ducheneaux was a card-carrying registered medical marijuana patient in Colorado before moving to Sioux Falls, where he was arrested and convicted for using medical marijuana to mitigate a spastistic episode.
